This policy describes what information StormEdge collects when you use this website and your account, and how that information is used. It applies to the marketing site and the authenticated account area.

Information we collect

When you create an account, we collect:

• Your email address and, if provided, your full name.
• Your password, stored in hashed form — we never see or store it in plain text.
• If you sign in via GitHub or Google, the basic profile information (name, email, avatar) that provider shares with us.

While you use the site, we automatically collect basic, non-identifying usage analytics (pages visited, approximate location derived from IP, device/browser type) to understand how the site is used.

Cookies and session data

We use a session cookie to keep you signed in. This cookie is required for the account area to function and is not used for advertising or cross-site tracking.

How we use information

• To create and secure your account, and to authenticate you on sign-in.
• To send account-related email, such as email confirmation and password resets.
• To understand aggregate usage of the site so we can improve it.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

Third-party services

Account authentication is handled by Supabase, which stores your account record and credentials on our behalf under its own data processing terms. Basic site analytics are collected via Vercel Analytics.

Data retention

We retain account information for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us.

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time. To make a request, email us at the address below.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated to account holders by email.
